Miles Joseph- Former CEO
Miles Joseph founded Solar Screen 64 years ago, navigating an emerging industry with determination and a commitment to quality. He went door to door, embodying the American dream and laying the groundwork for our beloved family-owned company. After retiring in 2020, Miles passed the business down to his wife, Marilyn, ensuring his vision lived on. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit continues to inspire our work every day. At Solar Screen, we honor his legacy by upholding the values of hard work and integrity that he instilled in us, striving for excellence in all we do.
Marilyn Tolchin- CFO
At Solar Screen, Marilyn Tolchin is the heart of our business, infusing her passion for enhancing homes into everything we do. After becoming CEO when she took over the company, her inspiring journey—from childhood emigration to the pursuit of her dreams—has fueled her dedication to creating beautiful, inviting spaces. Honored as “Power Woman of Long Island 2015,” Marilyn skillfully balances her professional success with a deep commitment to her family and community. Recently, she decided to step back, allowing her daughter Michelle and her husband Will to take over most of the business, while she continues to serve as CEO.
William Henry- President
Meet William, the president of Solar Screen. Since joining the Solar Screen family in 2014, he has brought a versatile skill set that truly enhances our team. From managing accounting to navigating FAA regulations, William tackles every task with enthusiasm, ensuring that production runs smoothly. A proud graduate of Queens College with a degree in accounting, followed by his master’s, he approaches each challenge with a can-do attitude, inspiring everyone around him.
Michelle Joseph – Vice President
Michelle’s journey with Solar Screen began at just 17, and her dedication has led her to the remarkable position she holds today. Always ready to lend a hand, Michelle tackles everything from dealing with customers to making executive decisions. Her cheerful demeanor and genuine willingness to help make her a cherished part of our team.
